Why GTI-ICAA is following this project?

The Pucallpa - Cruzeiro do Sul highway, passes through the Zona Reservada Sierra del Divisor, a protected area that is rich in biodiversity.  Due to weakened development plans and territorial management from the construction of this highway, problems such as illegal logging, informal mining, pollution, and encroachment have worsened.

Location

The Pucallpa - Cruzeiro do Sul highway is located in the Coronel Portilla province of the Ucayali region in Peru and the state of Acre in Brazil.

Project Purpose

To connect the cities of Pucallpa (Peru) and Cruzeiro do Sul (Brazil), in order to facilitate commercial exchange between Brazil and Peru, as well as Asian markets.
