ICAA partners use a variety of territorial management approaches to conserve biodiversity and build up sustainable livelihoods in the Andean Amazon, with a special focus on indigenous populations. As a result, ICAA partners formed a Territorial Management Working Group to create synergies that will strengthen institutional, legal and policy frameworks in support of indigenous lands and biodiversity conservation. The web site will allow all interested stakeholders to exchange information, tools and knowledge. Future actions for the territorial management working group were presented at the Second Partners Meeting (May 2008, Quito) and range from organizing and sharing information, advocating for improved regulations and best practices, and building the capacity of key stakeholders.
