Pasto - Mocoa Highway
Project purpose
The road aims to connect the cities of Pasto and Mocoa, allowing a continuous flow of heavy traffic of passengers and goods. The construction of this road would be completed to connect the intermodal corridor Tumaco - Pasto - Mocoa - Puerto Assisi - Belém do Pará (Brazil).
Location
This mega-project is located in the southern region of Colombia along the border with Ecuador, running west to east.
Why ICAA is an indirect link to this project?
Civil society organizations in the region have been working on this case in order to generate lessons learned for other projects outlined in the framework of IIRSA in Andean Amazon countries.
